Klero GmbH robotics is focused on the consulting, conceptual design and implementation of robot-based automation. Our customers are engaged in the fields of general and automobile industry as well as in the cultural and creative sectors. Founded in 2005 by Holger Klempenow, Klero currently employs 25 people at two locations and offers services worldwide.
From the very beginning Klero has programmed and implemented the most commonly used robot systems in Europe: ABB, Kuka, Motoman, Fanu, Stäubli and Epson. Our scope of services comprises the design and programming of both standard applications like handling, assembling, palletizing and spot and MAG- welding and applications of future significance like robot milling on the basis of CAD/CAM data. As a service provider we offer turnkey solutions and support from the feasibility study, the construction, programming and implementation to the assembling and commissioning of all components.

The Association for Robots in Architecture is a spin off association from Vienna University of Technology. Its goal is to make industrial robots accessible for the creative industry, artists, designers and architects, by sharing ideas, research results and technological developments. The Association was founded in December 2010 by Sigrid Brell-Cokcan and Johannes Braumann and has since been recognized as a research institution by both national and international research promotion agencies. In addition to research projects, Robots in Architecture also works with commercial partners such as KUKA and Absolut and is listed as a KUKA System Partner. In the past years, the Association for Robots in Architecture has pioneered the use of accessible visual programming for robot control, by developing KUKA|prc – a robot control plugin that works inside CAD software. The Professorship of Industrial Robotics and Production Automation (IRPA) at the Institute of Production Systems (IPS) at TU Dortmund University deals with current challenges in robotics. The focus of research and development work at IRPA is industrial robot systems, the simulation of robot handling and surface processing tasks, the development of user-friendly robot programming and work cell simulation systems, handling and assembly systems and multimedia assistance systems. In different research and industry projects fundamental research as well as the design of prototypes is conducted. For these tasks IRPA provides a comprehensive hardware and software equipment such as robots, measuring systems and simulation software. IRPA offers companies research assistance. These comprise planning of robotic handling systems, analysis and assessment of robot machining processes and development of special robotic software. IRPA is part of the Academic Society for Assembly, Handling and Industrial Robotics (MHI e.V.) and the AutomationML e.V. association. LABOR is a private industrial research laboratory that provides companies with solutions to improve their products and production processes through technological innovation. The Research and Development team consists of electronic and mechanical engineers, computer scientists, laboratory technicians and industrial chemicals. The ability to multi-disciplinary research include electronics, computers, automation and control, mechanical design, process chemistry applied primarily to food industry, biomedical, bio-energy, environmental technologies and systems for industrial and safety at work. Technological innovation processes are managed paying attention to all (scientific, technological, organizational, financial and marketing) factors needed to lead step by step a brilliant idea into a successful product and they are favored by the integration of research skills with proven ability in the acquisition of project financing and management, allowing LABOR to offer its customers to benefit from the available research funding opportunities at regional, national, and European level. Bamberger Natursteinwerk (Bamberg natural stone) is a medium-sized family-run enterprise. Founded in 1965, it has since expanded to become one of Germany’s premier companies in the natural stone sector and operates 11 sandstone quarries in Germany enabling it to supply suitable stone for the restoration of historic buildings and the conservation of historic monuments, as well as for sustainable building in the form of natural stone façades for modern architecture. Operating their own planning and construction offices and employing stone processing facilities with state of the art technology – including several KUKA robotic arms, BNW combines detailed knowledge of the centuries-old art of stone masonry with high-end technical innovation. G Gibson & Co Ltd is a manufacturer of specialist and bespoke hand tools for the stone masonry and stone sculpture industries. Producing the ‘Faulds’ type carbide tipped chisels, and our own ‘Gibson’ brand of hammers, mallets and associated stone working tools, we consider ourselves to be the largest manufacturer of traditional stone working tools in the UK, and possibly the world. At the core of our business is a strong engineering foundation, producing a whole range of tools for farriers, coopers, and automotive industries, through to aerospace, utilities, oil field industries and the Ministry of Defense. This allows us to undertake challenging applications, and produce tools which aren’t readily available and would otherwise cease to exist. It’s this experience that will enable us to contribute significantly to the AROSU project, as not only do we understand stone masonry tools, we also understand the Engineering behind developing such a project. II Architects int (II A Uluslararası Mimari Tasarım ve Yapı Uygulama Danışmanlık Ltd. Şti.) was first founded in May 2002 in Istanbul, joining the Chamber of Architects in Istanbul, UIA-section Turkey as „Yüksek Mimar“. Running projects since 2006 are Turgutreis Modern Urban Development Project- comprising a Shopping Mall, the Mayors Building and Cultural Centre, Turgutreis Bus Station of a Total of approximately 29.300 m² and Armonia Sea & Spa Hotel with 18.000 m² at one of the most picturesque coastlines of the Turkish Riviera with the highest earthquake prone zone Nr1. These projects were highly recognized by Turkish and European press. II A Mimarlik further won several Design Prizes. Current low energy projects and integrated building design approaches with self sufficient concepts are a 5-Star hotel for Aspat in Turgutreis and Düzce Teknopark with an active strategy for energy efficiency not only in energy consumption but energy generation for the adjacent Campus buildings of Düzce University. II A Mimarlik has initiated and organized several long-term international academic and industry cooperations and research projects on renewable materials and construction innovations bringing together international expertise and know-how.
